I've been busting butt editing my finished novella and now working on my contest entry. I'm like 20 pages in and have another 30 to go. It's going to be just in time for the contest. Yeah! I also got my coming soon page up on my erotica pen name Cassidy Kent. Now check out Briana's new page under her pen name Eva Gale... I'm working on them!

Tonight I'm going to a New Year's Party and should be a good break from the workaholic mode. I got a heck of a lot done. Thank goodness I have two more days until I go back to work. There's always so much to do.

I just finished my erotic novella "What Lies In Winter" and I'm quickly editing it. Gosh, it feels really good and I can't wait to start on my next novella as well as finishing my RomCom.

What a wonderful Christmas present to myself. I hope to ring in the new year with more finished products.

I think I'll celebrate by leaving work early. I'm bad.

Kill me now... You guys know how I go goo-goo for Gerard Butler. Well, apparently the the 300 website is up and there are some mighty tasty pics of Mr. Butler with his new physique...sigh. Drool, drool. And you wonder why I melt like butta when I saw Gerard at Jay Leno earlier this year... He's all mine. He just doesn't know it yet. Can't a girl dream?

What's that? I think I should get my butt in gear and achieve at least one resolution. Okay, maybe last years "sell something" should have been more precise like "sell a novel" ... but I did "sell something" in terms of an article for Sun magazine. I guess it's better than nothin'. Next year, I'm going to be armed with stuff to send out. That's right. I'm going to produce darnit! I'll be a producing machine. I've got all those ideas in my little head, I should stop procrastinating and not sleep to finish them. Considering I have limited time as it is, but by golly, I won't sleep! (I think I've had too much caffeine)

After seeing all those damn Bally's & 24 Hour Fitness ads, I've decided to get in shape for summer. I'm going to work on toning my bod and tightening my abs. Okay, I've had enough of my other self of talking me out of working out so I've put money aside for those yoga lessons... (I must resist the urge to spend on sushi) I should have done it this year, but there's so many excuse I had for them. Maybe I'll kick start it at Romance Divas.

I've been burning the midnight oil to get my novella done and edited so I hope to have something positive come out of it when I start sending it out next week. Otherwise, I'm signing up for game shows next year!

I visited my friend Adrienne Kama's blog and she had a good point. Seems like there are a lot of us writers out there who often blog about topics that are rather deep, meaningful, profound.. but we get on such a role we tend to forget to have fun. To appreciate what makes a romance author tick. We need to talk about men. Hot, beautiful, gorgeous, sexy, dark, dangerous, mysterious MEN!!!!

Who can resist the perfectly sculpted bod or the handsome, intellectual features... gosh, darnit, how about the sweet looking boy-next-door type? Honestly, I love them all and they're the reasons I write romance. Okay, I have a thing for those Europeans & Aussies...don't know why, but it's a curse. I think men are sexy with their clothes on, so --case in point -- here are three of my top hunks who make me turn to mush... enjoy!

I just found out yesterday that my company is giving us both next Friday and Monday off for Christmas. HOORAY! This means a looooong weekend and I'm stoked. Here's my chance to write without interruption. In the past years I've had huge holiday gatherings and baked turkey, ham, and many many side dishes. This year, I'm going to do NOTHING. That's right. I will probably make turkey for hubby, but I'm not gonna go through all the holiday cheer and have a mass of people. I just don't feel like it. Maybe the ghosts of Christmas Past will come for a visit, and I'll offer them eggnog, but I just feel the winter blues. I'm thinking I'll use this time to do "me" things. It's not often I get a chance to just kick back, but when I refer to "me", I'm meaning catching up on all the work I have managed to not do. It's not easy one bit.

Gosh, New Years is just peeking around the corner ... I better try to sneak some writing in while the creative juices are flowing.

YOU MUST SEE IT!

As a kid I would watch this cartoon once a year near Christmas time and it would be the highlight of my year. Now that it's live action and in theatres, I would have to say it has been a very good translations of the book. The main actors were brilliant, especially the little girl who plays Lucy. She is reminiscent of Drew Barrymore and I see a big career ahead of her. Tilda Swinton, the Ice Queen was the epitome of the wicked queen and she was truly wicked!

The sets, costumes, Narnia Universe was incredible. I was salivating from the visuals. This movie is not the typical fairytale. It's rather dark for children, but it's wonderful you have to bring your kids. $65 mil for opening weekend is great and I think once people catch wind of it they'll be rushing to see it.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and now I can't wait to see the Last Unicorn!

I scored two primo tix to the LA Kings vs the Carolina Hurricanes last night and it was un-f-in' believable. My seats were two rows behind the plexiglass walls and we could see, hear, and experience the after effects of hockey brawls. It was GREAT!

J. and I loaded up with $10 beers the size of a big gulp and two hot dogs (mine was Chicago style) that were twice the size of a regular one. For $7.50 I really expected it to be gigantuan. Anyways, the place was packed by diehard fans in the hockey jerseys, beanies, and foam hands. Gosh, I love live sporting events. People are nuts and you gotta love it.

The first quarter was a real snoozer and if you've never been to a hockey game, it's slow! I don't think I've been to a game where it was past 5 points. Well, needless to say. We were at 0 to 1 for a good while before I chugged my beer. In the second quarter we were 2 to 3 which was fantastic with all the pushing, shoving and me chanting "FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT" -- Then I started to freeze my assets off because the ice rink was COLD. But through the intense last quarter I was into the game. We would have tied except for the great catch by our rival. It was a true bummer.

Enough about hockey. Still no baby from Briana. My dear is totally bummed she's so close, but still praying to get it over with. Anyways, things are good. I'm finishing up my short for this contest and I'm gonna get back to speed with the RomCom. At least I'm writing.

Tonight, hubby and I are going on a date to THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA! I can't wait! It's one of my all time favorite stories turned to large screen adaptation. I am counting down the hours before I get the heck outta here.....

I admit, I have a serious case of ADD. Well, when it comes to writing, that is.

I am working on 4 projects simultaneously and my writing comes in spurts. I am trying to finish a short erotica, my RomCom, gothic contemporary, and a Regency Paranormal. Yes, I'm completely insane.

Now, with all this going on I am also wanting to lay out a healthy meal regimen and consistent workout. The only problem with this is that in the winter months my fibromyalgia flairs up and all I want to do is hide under my heating blanket and sleep. For the last few days, that's what I've been doing. It's no good to my writing and it's not keeping me productive. I've decided to force myself to move ahead. Right.

This weekend is no good for me. I'll be seeing Narnia on Friday. I'm having a chili cook-off with my neighbors and the event will last majority of the day (but I'll squeeze in writing time afterwards). Then, Sunday is my chapter meeting so I'm hoping I will have loads of time after that but I usually hang out with Lisa so there's no way I'll have free time.

Wow, I guess I can procrastinate til next week. I'm off the hook again! Sweet.

I've been working on projects simultaneously. I guess the Thanksgiving holiday gave me a bit of downtime and I'm fired up again. I'm practically halfway done with this short erotica I'm writing and I'm also working on One Night With Jared and Parisian Skye. You'd think I'd be lost, but it's going well on all fronts. Now, if I could just finish these babies off in the next 3 weeks. I'm making it a goal to try to finish 2 projects.

In the last two weeks I've read 4 Julia Quinn books and I'm starting to bend towards writing Regency for the heck of it. I've scribbled a few things, but I'm going to have to write this later on down the line. But wouldn't it be lovely to try to write historical?

Briana is having her baby today. I'll keep you posted as soon as she calls to yell at me.
