I survived...

Author: Jax Cassidy // Category: , ,

Contrary to what anybody says, being an author is wonderful, exhilarating, and PAINFUL at times. I love love my stories and love creating something romantic and beautiful for my readers, but when you are forced to face deadlines, everything becomes a bit hazy... I really enjoyed writing this novel and I tried to make it as passionate as possible. I hope that when it's released that you'll love it too.

Thank you Candace Havens for pushing me to do Fast Draft. If you hadn't kicked my butt I would never have made it. Okay, so I'm a week behind my 2nd extension, but it happens. Life happens and I did it, that's all that matters. The accomplishment is in seeing the final print in your hand. To smell the freshly printed copies, be able to put it on your shelf and know that you wrote it all by yourself. A true milestone.

Now that your deadline is finished...I've tagged you.

See, that? That smell of freshly printed books, and the feel of them? That right there is why I don't believe e-publishing will ever completely obliterate print publishing. I've got nothing against epub, and sometimes it's the most convenient thing in the world, but there's nothing, to me, like the pleasure of a book in your hand.

Congrats on finishing!

Thanks all. I write for an epub and as much as I love that it can be easily downloaded internationally, it still doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies like seeing my very own book. I think that is why I'm working so hard to get as many in print as possible! I love the smell of it! LOL
